Naaz Trading Company based in Dubai, U.A.E, specializes in trading and stocking of Flat Steel Products namely Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled and Galvanized Iron Sheets and Coils. We import from Mills in Japan, Korea, India and Ukraine and sell to end users in U.A.E and neighboring countries. We also trade in Non Prime i.e. Prime Excess/Over Rolled CR, EG and G.I Coils and sheets. Our competitors do not even come remotely close to the friendly service and flexibility we offer to our customers, and this has been our key to success. We also operate a coil service center and hence are able to offer our customers slitting and cut-to-length facilities. Mr. Najmuddin Enayat Ali a true visionary and self-made business entrepreneur established the company in 1972. Mr. Ali had envisioned future conflicts in Iraq where he was conducting a very successful timber business since 1952 (after migrating from India) and was considering re-location. He made Dubai his choice for re-location, a decision that continues to pay dividends till this day. The timber business went in overdrive throughout the 70s and 80s with the bulk of the business constituting exports to Iraq including local sales on account of the construction boom in UAE. It is during these times Mr. Ali diversified into steel trading and decided to try his luck in the industrial sector with the launch of a steel fabrication company, fiberglass & joinery works and builder’s hardware supply co. In the 90s with the slow down of construction in the UAE and sanctions on Iraq, the timber trading business was gradually replaced with the steel and scrap trading which forms the bulk of the company’s trade today. As the chairman rightly put it “ Companies have to evolve with the changing times.” Today Naaz Trading Co. is a member of Naaz Group of companies with interests in real estate, agriculture equipment trading, timber and plywood, builder’s hardware, coil service center and steel fabrication, Ferrous and Non Ferrous scrap trading, fiberglass and joinery, and general trading, servicing customers in Middle East, Africa, Indian sub continent and Far East. Moving in line with the strict Islamic financing, the group abandoned all bank finance in 1990 and today it pursues a zero borrowing policy avoiding interest in any form. Naaz Trading Company alone employs 25 people and owns and operates 3 major warehouses in U.A.E. We sub-contract our steel handling and trucking facilities to specialized companies, thus providing the best professional service to our customers. Galvanized Steel Coils & Sheets: This product forms the bulk of our imports We imported close to 24000MTof G.I. Coils/Sheets last year (2005) Thickness range available with us is 0.30mm to 4.0mm, widths from 1000mm to 1220mm in case of Sheets our stock is mostly limited to the 4’x 8’ sizes. Zero Spangle,Minimized Spangle and Regular Spangle surface finishes can be found in our stocks. SGCC and Lock-Forming qualities Zinc coating is mostly Z-18 to Z-22 for thickness between 0.30mm to 1.0mm and Z-27from 0.40mm to 4.0mm. Coil weights are from 5 MT to 10MT Spec JIS G3302/87 or ASTM A653 or Equivalent All the coils are Chromated, Passivated and Stretch-Levelled however we arrange Non-Chromated finished coils for our Customers running Pre-Painted Lines.
